Fulcrum's Adaptive Segmentation with LaunchDarkly's Feature Flagging Platform

This guide will walk you through the steps to sync your Adaptive Segments from Fulcrum with LaunchDarkly. By doing so, you can leverage Fulcrum's powerful segmentation capabilities to control feature flags in LaunchDarkly.

Prerequisites

• LaunchDarkly account with synced segments enabled. Learn more (opens in a new tab)

Steps

Step 1: Generate LaunchDarkly API Keys

1. Log in to your LaunchDarkly dashboard.
2. Navigate to Account settings > Authorization.
3. Generate a new Token by choosing Create Token tab and note it down.

Your access token must have either a Writer or custom role

Step 2: Configure Sync Settings

1. Navigate to Segments page.
2. Select the segment you wish to sync.
3. Choose LaunchDarkly from the list.
4. Enter the LaunchDarkly access token and client-id. You will only need to do this step one time.
5. Click Save.

Step 3: Verify Sync

1. After setting up, wait for a few minutes for the segments to sync.
2. Verify the sync status in both Fulcrum and LaunchDarkly dashboards.

That's it.

You have successfully synced your Adaptive Segments from Fulcrum with LaunchDarkly. You can now control feature flags based on these segments.
