Add PostgreSQL to Fulcrum

To add Postgresql as a data source to Fulcrum, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the Fulcrum's Integration Page

Step 2: Select "Connect" by PostgreSQL

  • On the integration page, look for the PostgreSQL integration. Fulcrum Postgresql Integration

  • Once you find the Postgresql integration, click on the "Connect". This will initiate the integration setup.

Step 3: Enter PostgreSQL Credentials in Fulcrum

  • On the PostgreSQL integration setup screen, you should see relevant fields for the credentials. Fulcrum PostgreSQL Credentials

  • Enter your credentials to connect to the PostgreSQL

  • After confirming the credentials, click on the "Connect PostgreSQL" button to proceed.

Step 5: Configure Fulcrum with PostgreSQL

  • Choose User table to ingest user properties. Select a unique user ID column. Org ID column is optional. If a user is not connected to an org, leave this field empty.

  • Choose Organization table to ingest org properties. Select a unique org ID column. Skip this step if your customers are individuals, not other companies.

  • Finally, choose events table to ingest event data and properties. This step is optional if you are already ingesting event data through other data sources.

  • Review the configuration and Finish setup Fulcrum PostgreSQL Configuration

  • If the credentials are valid and the connection is successful, you should see a confirmation message indicating that Fulcrum is now connected to PostgreSQL.

  • At this point, the integration setup is complete, and Fulcrum will start fetching data from PostgreSQL.

Now, you can create dynamic segments on the real-time data from PostgreSQL and any additional sources you have connected.
