Key Fields in Fulcrum

Customer data is inherently complex and often comes in various formats, making it challenging to derive meaningful insights. Recognizing this challenge, Fulcrum created the Key Fields capability to empower users in managing and optimizing their customer data.

The selection of Key Fields serves a dual purpose in Fulcrum:

1. Enhanced Engine Understanding

By choosing Key Fields, you are effectively teaching the Fulcrum engine what elements hold significance for your business. This understanding enables the engine to sift through the data noise, focusing on the aspects that truly impact your operations.

2. Personalized Data Labeling

Key Fields empower you to label your data accurately. This labeling process ensures that the segments created by Fulcrum are not just generic categories but personalized to the unique needs and priorities of your business. This personalization is the key to unlocking targeted and effective customer engagement.

How to Configure A Key Field

To configure a key field:

  1. Navigate to the Key Fields section under the AI Settings (opens in a new tab) page.
  2. Select a field you want to configure
  3. Select data type. Fulcrum supports three data types: Events, User Property, and Organization Property.
  4. Type in the field name. As you start typing in the field name, Fulcrum will automatically show you relevant field suggestions.
  5. Once, the field is selected, click outside the box and that's it.

Fulcrum automatically computes additional key fields, including:

  • Interesting Fields: For e,g, % active members per organization etc.
  • Firmographic Data: For e.g. Company Size, Industry etc.
