Add Mixpanel Integration to Fulcrum

This documentation provides step-by-step instructions on how to add the Mixpanel as a data source to Fulcrum. The integration will allow you to

  1. Create dynamic segments based on product behavior data from Mixpanel.
  2. Import existing Cohorts from Mixpanel as segments into Fulcrum
  3. Access Mixpanel data-based segments to your application code through Fulcrum SDKs

Step 1: Choose "Connect" for Mixpanel on the Integrations Page

  1. Log in to Fulcrum (opens in a new tab)

  2. Navigate to the "Integrations" page Fulcrum Mixpanel Integration

  3. Look for the "Mixpanel" integration and click on the "Connect" button.

Step 2: Add the Mixpanel Service Account Credentials

  1. After clicking "Connect" for the Mixpanel integration, you will be prompted to provide the Mixpanel service account credentials.

  2. Open a new tab or window in your web browser and log in to your Mixpanel account.

  3. Once logged in, navigate to the Settings > Organization Settings > Service Accounts page.

  4. Create a new service account using "Add Service Account"

  5. Locate the Username for the new service account and copy it to your clipboard.

  6. Return to Fulcrum and paste the Username key into the designated field for the Mixpanel integration.

  7. Next, locate the Secret for the new serive account in Mixpanel and copy it to your clipboard.

  8. Return to Fulcrum and paste the Secret key into the designated field for the Mixpanel integration.

Step 3: Add your Project Id from the Same Mixpanel Project

  1. In addition to the service account credentials, the Mixpanel integration requires a Project Id for authentication purposes.
  2. Navigate to the Mixpanel project settings, locate the Project Id.
  3. Copy the Project Id to your clipboard.
  4. Go back to the Fulcrum and paste the Project Id

Once you have completed these steps, your Fulcrum tool will be connected to Mixpanel, and user events will start fetching to Fulcrum. You can now create dynamic segments on the ingested data.
