Import Mixpanel Cohorts to Fulcrum
This comprehensive guide will walk you through the process of importing your Mixpanel cohorts into Fulcrum.
Pre-requisites
Before you begin, ensure that Mixpanel is already configured as a data source in Fulcrum. If you haven't done this yet, please refer to Fulcrum's Data Ingestion Documentation for Mixpanel to set it up.
Step 1: Navigate to the "Segments" Page in Fulcrum
-
Open your web browser and go to Fulcrum's homepage (opens in a new tab). Enter your credentials to log in.
-
Once logged in, locate the navigation menu on the top and click on "Segments."
-
On the "Segments" page, you'll find an "Import Segment" button usually located at the top-right corner. Click on this button to proceed.
Step 2: Create Webhook in Mixpanel
-
After clicking "Import Segment," a dialog box will appear asking you to select a data source. Choose "Mixpanel" from the list.
-
Once on the setup dialog, you should see a URL to use in Mixpanel's custom webhook settings.
-
Copy this URL to your clipboard.
-
Now head over to your Mixpanel dashboard.
-
Navigate to Data Management > Integrations
-
Look for Custom Webhook on the integrations page
-
Create a new Webhook by choosing "Add Connection".
-
Put in a Connection Name and the URL
-
Click "Continue"
Step 3: Export Cohorts to Fulcrum
-
Now, head over to Data Management > Cohorts
-
Select settings of the cohort you want to import to Fulcrum by clicking three dots at the end of the row.
-
Hover over "Export to" and select the "Fulcrum Webhook" you just created.
-
Choose "Recurring Sync" to keep the cohorts dynamic. They should sync every 30 minutes.
That's it. Once the import is successful, Fulcrum will dynamically update the selected Mixpanel cohorts within the Fulcrum platform.
If you encounter any difficulties or have trouble locating specific settings, please refer to the Fulcrum documentation or reach out to us at support@getfulcrum.io.
